Work Policy
Nordic Fibreboard Ltd OÜ has adopted and implemented a workforce policy and complies with the FSC labor requirements. The workforce policy includes the following:
Child Labor
- Nordic Fibreboard Ltd OÜ does not employ workers under the age of 15.
- Employees under the age of 18 do not perform hazardous or strenuous work, except in the case of training programs that comply with local laws and regulations.
- Nordic Fibreboard Ltd OÜ prohibits the worst forms of child labor.
Forced and Compulsory Labor
Employment relationships are voluntary and based on mutual consent, without any penalties. There is no evidence of practices indicating forced or compulsory labor, including but not limited to:
- Physical and sexual violence
- Slave labor
- Withholding wages or requiring a security deposit for employment
- Restrictions on mobility or movement
- Retention of passports and identity documents
- Threats of denunciation to authorities
Non-Discrimination in Employment and Occupation
Hiring and employment practices are free from discrimination.
Freedom of Association and the Right to Collective Bargaining
- Our employees have the right to form or join worker organizations of their choice.
- Nordic Fibreboard Ltd OÜ respects the full freedom of worker organizations to establish their own statutes and rules.
- Nordic Fibreboard Ltd OÜ respects employees’ rights to engage in lawful activities related to forming, joining, or assisting a worker organization or refraining from such activities and does not discriminate against or punish employees for exercising these rights.
- Nordic Fibreboard Ltd OÜ negotiates in good faith with legally established worker organizations and/or duly elected representatives, making genuine efforts to conclude collective agreements.
- Where collective agreements exist, they are implemented accordingly.
